In the year of 1995, Dalian International Automotive Industry Exhibition was approved. For the first session which was held the next year, there were 169 exhibitors of auto parts and auto appliances, 196 vehicles for display with an area of 21,000 m². It’s scheduled to be held in the end of August, the best season of Dalian once a year. Through years of experiences and conscientious plan, Dalian International Automotive Industry Exhibition is expanded year by year. The exhibitors are mainly manufacturers rather than dealers. In the year of 2005, Dalian World Expo Center was put on operation, which broke through the display area of 80,000 m² for the auto exhibition.
In the 12th session of 2007, 486 participant manufacturers and 810 motor vehicles from home and abroad were displayed. During four and a half days, the visitors and negotiators amounted to 310 thousand person times with the trade volume of 4,390 motor vehicles including home-made models sold and ordered on the spot, among which there are 205 exhibitors of auto parts and auto appliances with the display area of 10 thousand square meters. The sales and contracts of automobiles and auto parts accounted for RMB 1.199 billion.
